ORIENT REVIT STRUCTURAL FRAMING PERP TO CURVE SURFACE

Have you ever wanted to orient structural framing perpendicular to a curve roof in Revit? You could change the "cross sectional rotation parameter" on each beam or you could use Grasshopper inside Revit that uses the new Rhino.Inside.Revit Technology. See image below and good luck.

If this example looks familiar... it is! I showed how to do this method using Adaptive Components in the past see this previous post. https://therevitcomplex.blogspot.com/2017/11/orient-beams-perp-to-surface-using.html and my lastest book "Dynamo and Grasshopper Cheat Sheet Reference Manual shows how to do this in Grasshopper. ALSO.....What about Beams that are segmented and on a planar curve in 3D space? No Problem see the image below to solve that problem as well.

The page numbers are where these concepts are located in the book. Want to learn more? Check out the book here. https://www.aeccheatsheets.com/dynamo-and-grasshopper-reference-ma
